I was out to lunch with S and other writer friends a while back, and S suggested we writers should make a list of literary reviews that take over a year to respond (or never do). She mentioned APR, Cutthroat, New Letters, Artful Dodge (I love Artful Dodge) and some others that never responded to her queries though she sent SASEs.
Is there such a list? It isn't that I would not send to these places. But it would be nice to know that I might never hear . . .

Some places really do lose your poems, or the mail gets lost, these things happen, but when it happens every submission?
And yes, such a list would be very helpful!
I once got a "Thank you for your patience, we are still considering your submission" note from a poetry magazine I hadn't sent any poems to. (I'd ordered a sample issue of the magazine sometime previously, and apparently got on their all-purpose mailing list...)
Another time I got a rejection slip from a magazine I hadn't sent poems to, which seemed to me to be some kind of new world record. It turned out I had in fact sent them some poems, but between the time I sent them and the time I heard back (not really an excessive time period), they changed the name of the magazine, so the rejection slip had a different magazine name from the one I'd sent poems to.
On yet another occasion, an issue of a poetry magazine I'd never heard of showed up in the mail one day. It had two of my poems in it. Turned out to be a magazine I'd sent poems to, something like nine months previously -- the first I knew they'd accepted any of the poems was when the contributor copy showed up in the mail. And they also had changed the name of the magazine between the time I sent the poems and the time they sent the contributor copy, so needless to say, at first I didn't recognize it...
